Fellow Lympiani Paula Manoli-Gray (the daughter of Petros and Rhodoulla Manoli) is a features writer for CFL Magazine – the magazine for the British Forces serving in Cyprus. Her husband, Kristian Gray is the Managing Editor.

Paula always tries to include our village in articles where relevant and featured the house of Ellou Tsielepi for an article on traditional Cypriot houses. Ellou’s house has been maintained and is often used for traditional weddings, and as a tourist attraction. The article featured her home and Ellou was even the cover star of that month’s issue!

In a regular series of historical articles, Paula wrote about the day that women marched to the village’s occupied church of the Holy Cross in 1989 in protest of the Turkish occupation.

For a feature on the contribution of Cypriot soldiers to the Allied efforts in World War II, Paula mentioned her grandfather as one of the soldiers who fought alongside the Brits.
